Adopting Telehealth as COVID-19 Response

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended telehealth as an alternative to in-patient care in order to help mitigate the impact and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus and COVID-19. Telehealth can:

Enable people to access care and initial screenings from their homes.
Minimize the demands on primary care clinics.
Minimize the use of personal protective equipment like gloves and masks.
Reduce the risk of exposure to patients and medical care teams.
Ensure that treatment is available for high-need patients.

We are proud to begin offering telehealth to our patients via the PocketPatient app available on Apple and Android mobile devices. This service is covered by your insurance as a regular office visit or a $60 fee for patients without insurance. Call the office in Burien (206-248-5020) and Bellevue (425-455-5111) to make a telehealth appointment.

Our offices remain open with precautions. We are open limited hours for emergency medical patients or those whose treatment cannot be delayed three months without adverse effects. We urge you to call the office to make an appointment or fill out an appointment request form.

Dermatology of Seattle & Bellevue is following CDC guidelines, and state and local directives to ensure the health and safety of anybody visiting our clinic. The goal is to prevent the spread of the virus while protecting patients, co-workers and the community. Our top priority is the safety of you and our co-workers.

Restricting Guests

We are asking our patients to keep any accompanying guests to only those absolutely required to assist the patient. Necessary guests, for example, include translators, and parents or guardians of minor patients.

Cleaning Procedures

We are taking extra steps to keep our patients safe with additional cleaning procedures such as disinfecting all areas of our buildings, with special attention to hard surfaces, door handles, handrails and lounge areas.

If You Are Sick, Reschedule

Due to the recent CDC reports and recommendations, if you are experiencing any acute signs of respiratory illness, including symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please reschedule your appointment. Just give us a call at 206-248-5020 and we will gladly reschedule you for a later date and look forward to seeing you then.
